Cyber crime or computer crime is broadly defined as any crime
committed with the involvement of computers and their network.
Computers and network may or may not have played an important part. Net
crime is crime committed through the internet. Crime with relation to
child pornography, copyright infringement, child grooming and hacking
have become high-profile now. There are other crimes in which highly
confidential information is intercepted or lost. At the global level
both governments and others continue to play an important role with the
skills to conduct activities like financial theft and espionage and
other crimes committed across the border referred as cyber warfare.
The international legal system is trying to identify those committing computer crime and hold them responsible for crimes with the International Criminal court addressing the threat to computers and the internet.
